Convention update!!!

Man it was a busy Summer/Fall!! Here is my con report!

First off: Otakuthon: there was sooooooooo mannnnnnyyyyy people! Usualy, they have 9000 people attend, this year, I think it was around 15 000!!! Like usual, almost no one knows I was a Power Ranger. It's harder to be noticed when you have no helment. Only the TRUE BELIEVERS knew I was Magipunk and Jetman Yellow (Some even liked the small head pieces) I will post a Magipink pic soooon!

Second: MTL ComicCon. Always a huge convention, so fun to met up with friends! I wore my Magipink cosplay WITH helmet!!! on Saturday for the mascarade and on Sunday I was the Crimson Thunder Ranger from Power Rangers Ninja Storm. I got to meet Austin St-John, the original Red Power Rangers!!!! Fangirling all the way :) Also got to go to the Power Rangers Panel. So much fun! I missed the Stephen Amell, because of the mascarade..... disappointed! 

Third: The first edition of Quebec City ComicCon. I debuted my Anime Girlfriend/wife of Dr. Kreiger from the FX cartoon Archer. It was somewhat of a hit. I was with my boyfriend, he was dressed as Kreiger, great reaction. The guy who hosts Teletoon at Night in French kept staring at us, because I'm pretty sure he recognize characters from a TV show he presents! Un Sunday, I wore my Crimson Ninja Storm suit. I got to meet Ani-Mia and her boyfriend, really cool people! Her boyfriend was a stand in for the recent Poser Rangers Super Megaforce reunion show, he was SPD Green. He showed pictures of the set and costumes.... DROOL!!! Nice event, it was fun walking in Old QC, maybe I will go next year! 

Third: For the first time in Sherbrooke, we had a mini convection called AnimaraCon. Not much, it was mostly an opportunity to meet up with friends and to catch up. I participated in the first ever mascarade. My costume one a prize!!!! YUP my boyfriend won BEST HELMET for his work on the Magipink helmet. He TOTALLY deserved it!! Funny to think he is now a journeyman and I'm still a novice!

OK so next convention??? G-Anime in January! My cosplays? Wild Force White and maybe a Kigurumi of my own since I can't decide on buying one everytime I stop at the kigu booth.

WIP Power Rangers Mystic Force cosplay : shoulder armor

As you may know from I don't remember when I told you, I cosplaying the Pink ranger from Power Rangers Mystic Force for Otakuthon in Montreal. This is my first time making some kind of armor. The final product is pretty good looking for a first try. It is made with pink, black and gold spandex. There is interfacing to make it more rigid. All the gold trim is glued down because sewing it down wasn't giving the effect I wanted. Can't wait to see the final product. Need to do the boots and the sword.

I'm on the right path :)

Cosplay WIP Magipink

Heyyyyyyy so since i can't find work in my field of studies, I have time to work on cosplay duh. So I started doing the Magipink cosplay for Otakuthon in august and here is the latest: dress is sewn, gloves are done but might be redone and the dreaded strips are almost done. 

Oh god can't wait!!

Otakuthon Cosplay!

Well, first Otakuthon ever last weekend and I brought my Articuno and Dekayellow cosplays! Did the Masquarade in the Articuno cosplay, but won nothing. Guess I have to upgrade my skills :/ ANYWHO

Articuno update!

Sooooo being in mtl and having nothing else to do, I'm working on my cosplays! Been working on Articuno lately and I've done 2 things so far. (Woohoo) The wings are done sewing, just wondering if i'll will paint them. and I also have to find a way to stick them to my arms, but I'm pretty sure I have an idea for that.

Cosplay update #2

Here is Articuno! The boots are almost finish. Need to do wings and head piece. Tail is almost done, just need to sew to back. All in all, good progression :)

Cosplay update!

Sooooooooooooooooooo making my cosplays for Otakuthon 2013! First time going there! First was Articuno, the pokemon. Well, the body suit is done. Need to do: wings, head piece, tail and feet and white mark. So far the boots are being transformed into bird feet, but I have to find liquid latex -_-...

Second is SPD Yellow Power Ranger: here is an image:

The body suit is done, have to put in the zipper. The rest is the badges, the boots and the morpher.

JC day 12-13: MTL walk in

Last saturday, me and my boyfriend wanted to go see the Star Wars exhibition in MTL, but out of laziness, we didn't get in because of the HUGE CROWD!!!! so instead, we walked again, in the city. Earings:

upon walking, we noticed that it was Otakuthon, Montreal's anime convention and I was happy to meet one of my great friends: Chen, one of Sherbrooke's best cosplayers!!! The convention was held in the Palais des Congrès, that is where Montreal Comic Con is going to be held this year!!!
