New cat breed looks like a werewolf

Science is amazing, there is no doubt about it. but sometimes it can be creepy, espacially if you make new breeds of animals, like let's say a cat that looks like a werewolf...

Here is the Lykoi cat, a feline with a genetic mutation that prevents hair growth even on its face. Here is a picture:

It kind of looks like a bat don't you think??? Well it's a new breed that would probably be a big hit for the werewolf lovers out there. Here is some info from Geekologie:
"Upon starting the program, we decided that testing would need to be done to ensure that we are not dealing with disease or disorders causing the hair coat appearance. Infectious disease tests were performed first in my clinic. DNA testing was done by UC Davis to confirm that these cats do not carry the Sphynx/Devon gene. We also performed a DNA panel for genetic disease, color, and blood type. At the University of Tennessee, dermatologists examined them for any skin abnormalities (and they too fell in love with these cats and we have quite a fan club there!). Along with biopsy samples of the skin, the dermatologists could find no reason for the coat pattern. What they did find is that some hair follicles lacked all the necessary components required to create hair (which is why they lack an undercoat). They also found that the follicles that were able to produce hair, lacked the proper balance of these components to maintain the hair (which is why the Lykoi do molt and become almost completely bald from time to time). Our cardiologist performed some cardiac scans to look for any structural problems with the heart.

In the end, we found that the cats are healthy, and the hair pattern is not from any known disease or disorder. It was determined that it was indeed a true natural mutation, and our breeding program began. September 14, 2011 we welcomed the first kitten from a Lykoi Cat to Lykoi Cat breeding.... She has been named "Daciana" and to date she is the only known second generation Lykoi."

Thank you Neil Armstrong

As you may have heard this weekend, the first humain to set foot on the Moon, Neil Armstrong has died at 82. He is famous for his quote: This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind

One of the best things I heard out of this was from his family: "For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."

It brought tears to my eyes. RIP Neil, your action have contributed to many things and you have inspired many people.

The Force, it could be real!

Subbled upon this on Fashionably Geek: a glove with magnets (chuuuuu, it's a secret) that can pull or push objects towards you. But can this be truly the real Force? At 17.99 $ I don't know. The idea of magnets is good, but it's useless on plastic items, like toys or other usefull things.

the Star Wars Force Glove for $19.95 from Neatoshop and $17.99 at Amazon.com.
