New York Comic Con was held last week. I got to see some pictures of the event and my inner geek was crying from all the awesomeness that was gathered in one place.

The first strike was the tokidoki booth.... O_O They are soooooooooooooooooo mean to post that picture. Just that made me want to fly down and bwe part of the action. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

My new figurines!!!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I got my Panty and Stocking with Gartherbelt figures!!! And I have to say, the shipping was fast! 6 days! from Japan! And the price was really good, 2 figures for 195$ instead of 300$! I.m really happy they look great also! These are my second figures, I have the Panty & Stocking SEGA ones also, but they are less detailed.

The Force, it could be real!

Subbled upon this on Fashionably Geek: a glove with magnets (chuuuuu, it's a secret) that can pull or push objects towards you. But can this be truly the real Force? At 17.99 $ I don't know. The idea of magnets is good, but it's useless on plastic items, like toys or other usefull things.

Being more than a Stormtrooper!

I was surfing on My disguises and I saw this compilation of Stormtroopers and it'S pretty funny! You can usually see people taking a twist of the Stormtrooper costume to make it funny. My boyfriend wants one so bad!!!

COLDPLAY IN MONTREAL!!!!!

Just got back from the amazing Coldplay concert at the Bell Center. As always, Chris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Johnny Buckland delivered an amazing performance. The only down point? It wasn't long enough! Everything was great! The music, the lights, the everything!

I went with my cousin. It's the second time for me and the third for her. We were so far away, we were touching the wall!

The first parts were Charli XCX and Marina and the Diamonds. Marina was better than Charli. REally energetic and amusing, but we all wanted Coldplay! At the entrance, we were given bracelets that light in the dark on command and it gave fantastic visual effects. Confetti was also part of the show and it just lights up a room!

You may not see, but everyone in the Bell Center as a bracelet. The products are for a movie CP is making for the tour. Do Want! There was one funny thing, they had a technical difficulty and had to stop in the middle of a song and then start over again for the movie!

Super Geeked out: Marvel phase 2 movies!!!!

If you were living on another planet, please come down to Earth because Marvel announced their phase 2 movies coming in a couple of years!!! This announcement was made at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend. (sniff sniff it's finish....)

Some speculations were around the net about the next movies: some thought that The Black Panther was a potential movie and with the spoilers from The Avengers movie (Thanos!!) The Gardians of the Galaxy was in the works.

The movie we all know and can't wait for is IRON MAN 3. For the next movie, the Iron Man suit has major changes, here is a photo for you:


Is in it awesome!!!! I pretty sure some people are going to talk about it, but from my boyfriend's point of view, the movie got inspired from the Ultimate univers. Plus in the movie, War Machine is back and more vilains are coming! It it confirmed that Ben Kinsley is set to play the Manderin. He is said to be the Russian Iron Man.

Also, there have been some photos leaking about the possible appearance of the Iron Patriot.

 

But nothing from the panel during Comic Con. The attendees had the chance to see some footage and meet the stars. The stars says it's going to be a darker movie maybe because Stark will had his alcohol problems stop him from saving the world? CAN'T WAIT!!!!

In this installemnt of CA, we will MAYBE be presented to an evil Bucky Barns. You thought he died in CA, but maybe not!!! He is probably a killer sniper and he is out for revenge!

 

This was a surprise! I knew that Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgram) was in the works for this movie, but nothing was confirmed. Until this weekend when Marvel unveiled the poster! They did some screen test and the movie is good to go!

DIY Comic book heels

One day, ONE DAY, when I have the time and the money to chop comics and buy sweet shoes, I will do this and rock your world!!

DIY Killer Comic Book Heels
Time: Eight hours per shoe 

Mod Podge

Vinyl Shoes:
Comics: Already owned 

Cut up a few comics into jagged, odd pieces. Use Mod Podge and a paint brush to stick. Tackle the heels and edges first, keeping the lines nice and straight, then fill in the gaps with bigger feature pieces. You can try a theme if you like (Avengers heels anyone?) but I just went generic for my first try. Use thinner strips on the curves or you’ll get bumps.

Save some fine cut feature words, speech bubbles and/or characters to really stand out as a final touch. Patience and a steady hand are key here! You can use a craft knife but I used scissors like a boss.

Fill in the platform or don’t, leave the heel blank or don’t. YOU ARE THE MASTER OF YOUR OWN DESTINY.

When completely covered, coat in matte or gloss Mod Podge and leave to dry overnight. Coat once more and leave for a day.

Wear. Be fabulous. SUCCEED.
