Man it was a busy Summer/Fall!! Here is my con report!
First
off: Otakuthon: there was sooooooooo mannnnnnyyyyy people! Usualy, they
have 9000 people attend, this year, I think it was around 15 000!!!
Like usual, almost no one knows I was a Power Ranger. It's harder to be
noticed when you have no helment. Only the TRUE BELIEVERS knew I was
Magipunk and Jetman Yellow (Some even liked the small head pieces) I
will post a Magipink pic soooon!
Second: MTL ComicCon. Always a
huge convention, so fun to met up with friends! I wore my Magipink
cosplay WITH helmet!!! on Saturday for the mascarade and on Sunday I was
the Crimson Thunder Ranger from Power Rangers Ninja Storm. I got to
meet Austin St-John, the original Red Power Rangers!!!! Fangirling all
the way :) Also got to go to the Power Rangers Panel. So much fun! I
missed the Stephen Amell, because of the mascarade..... disappointed!
Third:
The first edition of Quebec City ComicCon. I debuted my Anime
Girlfriend/wife of Dr. Kreiger from the FX cartoon Archer. It was
somewhat of a hit. I was with my boyfriend, he was dressed as Kreiger,
great reaction. The guy who hosts Teletoon at Night in French kept
staring at us, because I'm pretty sure he recognize characters from a TV
show he presents! Un Sunday, I wore my Crimson Ninja Storm suit. I got
to meet Ani-Mia and her boyfriend, really cool people! Her boyfriend was
a stand in for the recent Poser Rangers Super Megaforce reunion show,
he was SPD Green. He showed pictures of the set and costumes....
DROOL!!! Nice event, it was fun walking in Old QC, maybe I will go next
year!
Third: For the first time in Sherbrooke, we had a mini
convection called AnimaraCon. Not much, it was mostly an opportunity to
meet up with friends and to catch up. I participated in the first ever
mascarade. My costume one a prize!!!! YUP my boyfriend won BEST HELMET
for his work on the Magipink helmet. He TOTALLY deserved it!! Funny to
think he is now a journeyman and I'm still a novice!
OK so next
convention??? G-Anime in January! My cosplays? Wild Force White and
maybe a Kigurumi of my own since I can't decide on buying one everytime I
stop at the kigu booth.
Happy Holidays!
It's a blog to share my finding and what makes me happy. Sweets are everywhere and as a ninja, I must get them all!!

Prix: 10-30$

Festival mode et design in Mtl. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is the president of honor for this year. They have a mini expo of his work. His style is like no other. No wonder Lady Gaga wears his clothes! He will make vlothes out of anything! Parachutes, gloves, teddybears, etc!

Fancy F Bar
Wouhpu! My patents were in town!! Yay and they took me out to supper! Yay! My mom wanted to go to F bar at the place des arts. Nice fancy restaurant in a small space!! Their specialty is portugese food. Our entre way fresh tomatoes with fresh mozarella. Now I wouldn't pay 16$ for that but boy was it fresh!
For the main course, my eye spotted the fried calamari. Beong italian, i've tried a lot of this seafood but my dish came with this mayo and it was delicious.
Our dessert was natas, which are cream filled little pastries. Sorry not picture, but really good!
It was a really nice meal with really nice people!

Tasting Montreal: Restaurant DaMoa
I had a wedding last saturday and my boyfriend was staying with me during the weekend. I'm a lazy person something and the thought of cooking for two when i'm not prepared scares the shit out of me!! Soooooooooo since being in MTL and that my goal is to try new places, me and my boyfriend went on Sherbrooke Street west and tried the Corean BBQ Restaurant DaMoa.
6922 Sherbrooke West, Montréal, QC H4B 1P9

Once you go in, you have the impression that you are going into someone's house. It's small, but not to shabby. The prices go around 8 to 15 $, so kind of like fast-food restaurants. I had Kimchi with rice and an omelette and my bf got BBQ Chicken. the cook cooks from a house stove and you can see everything he does. He is very polite and nice and he speaks english and french.
Once we started eating, we both realzed one thing: Damn it's spicy!! I had to much rice for the kimchi I had, but the few shripms were a surprise and the omelette was really nice too. My bf liked his plate even if it was wayyyyyyyyyy spicy.
WE didn't have an over the top amount of food for leftovers. but still nice, I think I will come back to this place.
