JC day 20: Culture shock!

Sunday the 12th was the last day for the Festival des traditions du monde de Sherbrooke. This time, I wanterd to see the most shows and new cultures! I also ate for the first time Vietnamese food. A shrimp donut, noodles, a spring roll and salad. The donut was really good!

I got to see a Ukranian dance show and a Chinese fashion parade + dance. REally a great experience.

JC day 10: Festival Mode et Design

Bonjour!!! Voici mes bijoux pour le dixième jour de mon challenge!!! Aztech orange!

Jeudi dernier, le 2 août, moi et ma très bonne amie Jessika du Blogue VIBE! sommes allé à MTL pour participer au festival mode et design. Pour moi, c'était ma première expérience. Je suis déjà aller à la semaine de la mode en février dernier, mais jamais à ce festival. Ce festival se déroulait du 1 au 4 août sur la rue MCGill College, à deux pas de mon ancien stage!!! C'est un festival pour nous présenter les dernières créations de nos designers d'ici ainsi que les look d'automne des grands magasins. Voici quelques photos:

Nous avions eu la chance de se faire prendre en photo pour montrer nos looks et surtout nos chaussures! sur la scène ci-dessus, il y a eu le défilé Lolë

Dans les rues, des bus du STM vintage étaient décorés selon les designers, voici OLDWIG un magasin de vintage

Le soir, nous avions assisté au défilé Trans/paraître. C'était un mélange de plein de designer. La plus part des vêtements étaient trop simple, comme Ça va de soi, leurs linges trop relax. Mais la ligne Lyn avec leur tricot immense me font rappeler YSL.

Disney goes fashion

Ever wanted to be a princess? I wanted to be Mulan when I was smaller because Mushu was the bomb! But now growing up, I've lost interest compared to others who seem to by still wonderstruck. One thing I will always like are the dresses! And I recently found on Geekologie some sketches of Fashion Disney Characters made by a Deviant Art user Sashii-Kami:


Mulan looks aweful.... But the concept is cool none the less!

Look du jour and funny ring

In the mist of have a lot of snake rings, here is my new addition! From Simons, a parrot ring! IT's really cute and goes well with my personnality and my love for cool stuff and animals!

Les couleurs de l'été: Le pastel

J'ai eu mon magazine Clin d'oeil pour le mois de juillet aujourd'hui! J'adore recevoir mes magazines, car je peux passer une nuit entière à le feuilleter et le refeuilleter 1 semaine plus tard.

J'ai vu que cet été, les couleurs pastelles sont de mise. Le rose doux, le jaune soleil, le lilas, le vert lime, le bleu pâle et l'orange pâle font partis de ces couleurs privilégiées. Les vêtements ayant de la transparence et des détails délicats sont aussi en vogue. Dans mon garde de robe, la gamme de couleur est plus néon! Quoi??? J'aime bien un punch de couleur de temps en temps comme mes pantalons corail ou mes camisoles jaune banane! Cependant, mon 3/4 bleu ciel et mes quelques t-shirt rose pastel vont m'être utile!

On ne néglige pas les doigts! Au moins j'ai du lilas!

Look du jour (en retard) et Belle et Rebelle

Bonjour! Voici un look du jour, mais qui date de mercredi dernier, soit le 23 mai... ouin, j'ai été paresseuse...

Maintenant, parlons du magasin Belle et Rebelle. J'ai fait la découverte de cette boutique dans mes magazines Loulou, Clin d'oeil et Elle QC. Au début, il y avait juste une boutique. Elle est toujours situé sur la rue Saint-Hubert à MTL. Récemment, le centre-ville de Sherbrooke a acquis la deuxième de ce magasin spécialisé dans la vente de produits québécois. Tu rentres chez B et R et tout de suite tu es émerveillé par les couleurs des vêtements et celui des bijoux. Lors de ma visite à la boutique de Saint-Hubert, j'ai trouver une jolie paire de capri bleu ciel fait au QC par Voyou. Oui, il a l'air froisé, mais il est super confortable!

Aujourd'hui, j'ai visité la succursale de Sherbrooke, situé sur la rue Wellington Nord. J'ai trouvé un chandail à manche longue pour 19.99 $ de marque Ditta & Bella fait au Canada. 

Il y a un petit froufrou à l'avant et le col et évasé et moins serré qu'un col roulé. Encouragé les créateurs du QC: Mission accomplie!

Belle et rebelle a une « petite soeur » au nom de Petite Rebelle et elle est situé à MTL sur la rue Saint-Hubert.

Favorite Designers: Betsy Johnson

In a previous article, I've wrote about the labels I would like to bedressed in for the rest of my life, if I had the money to do it :) I didn't mentioned Johnson, but put it later and I'm ashamed because her work is just amazing and totally in my taste.

ANTM is back and british...

Wellllllll! Looks like Miss Tyra wants to be creative this time! She went all out adn decided to mix American girls with British one! At first , I'm like « well what do we have here? Another reason to demonstrate how the world will look at two rivals? » Anyway... It's my guilty pleasure, watching skinny bitches fighting is always entertaining and plus, I get to see great fashion! To bad, the British and the Americans will generelize on how much the other country is a joke to the english language. Some girls are just so nasty, I mean have an open mind! You know what it makes me think of?? Survivor and that idea is true when on episode 2 they had to eat weird food for nothing at all (Wait??? The UK doesn't have corn on the cob or peanut butter??? WTF) ALSO REally??? Everybody is exited to see Kris Jenner? What? i'm sure some girls faked it to join the team.

I'm sure e will get all the cliché Tyra will imagine about the two countries: I sense a Royal wedding/family and White house theme coming. Cowboys against royal guards!

Even if I know I will crinch in horror at some point, I'm still watching and Kelly Catronne as a juge? Heck ya!

A very Gaga experience

I just finished watching a Very Gaga Thanksgiving (I taped it :P) And I have to say that she really opened my eyes about who she was when she grew up and how it touched me because in some way, I saw myself in her. I was teased when I was in elementary and high school. I wasn't bullied as bad as she was, but I was different in a way that got me teased and in those times I didn't understand why? Why me and what would push them to do so. Looking back, I think those experience made me stronger and made me who I am today. Sure there moment where I doubt my talent and if I'm good enough, we are not perfect. And it showed me that being different is what makes us special and unique. I'm a geek who likes sweets, beauty, fashion, I want to start cosplaying, I like to have fun and I like having company around me. I have to always remember that there is a reason why I'm here and that I have to never give up. If you win, you'll get happy. If you lose, you'll get wise. Be unique and the people who laugh at you do not deserve to be your friend or to even known who you are. Like they say, the ones who pick on you are the ones who have the problem and are jealous of who you are.

Now back to Gaga, I want to say that she is just amazing. She has an incredible, incredible voice. She has tons of talent. I do not care If you hate her, but she has something that other artists don't. She's not trying to be someone else to please. If she wants to dress up in pink latex, let her be. She is not your typical pop star, she is a complete artist. Here is my ode to Gaga: a costume made by Bonpic and worn at international woman day :)
